December Goals

I know I’m a little late POSTING this but I have had these written down. Just been crazy busy and haven’t had time to type it out:

  • FOCUS on time management! Things are finally coming around for me and I need to focus on priorities as well as myself, diet/exercise, and set aside me time.
  • Run outside at least 3x per week. It’s December. It’s cooler. No excuses.
  • Spend more time with family and friends.
  • Lose 2lbs.
  • Limit my carbs & sweets!
  • Create at least 2 new holiday recipes.
  • Try a new activity (I kinda want to try hot yoga!)
  • Participate in some sort of Christmas Charity.
  • Keep the strength training at 3x per week. Even if I miss the strength training classes because of work do it on my own!
  • Have an amazing adventure to tell!

Last month of the year! Let’s kill it!

xoxo

    October Goals Recap

1.) Lose 5+ pounds by the end of the month.

Fail! Maintained my 145 :/ Better luck next month!

    2.) Complete my first 5K!

    DONE x2

    3.) Drink 2L+ H2O a day!

    And then some!

4.) Keep up with my food journal.

    Done!

5.) Find a job! (Must… save… money! and get out of Florida!)

FAIL! FAIL! FAIL! Had 2 prospective seasonal jobs: Teavana and a cupcake shop that just opened. Got both. Could only pick 1… Went for the cupcake place because they seemed a lot more flexible with hours then the manager at Teavana A.) Wasn’t at all flexible and B.) Kept grilling me in a very very creepy way. No thank you. When I’d gotten back from Orlando in the beginning of Oct I called the cupcake place after ditching Teavana and then they told me since they just started they don’t think they can afford me right now. The End. This economy is a nightmare.

6.) Try to find new healthy recipes. (Especially something with pumpkin!) Cook more… or at all… lol Oh and lower my carbs+fat and get more protein in every meal.

DONE as far as the recipes go… October I’ve made:

    • Low Calorie Pumpkin Muffins
    • Cinnamon Rolled Oatmeal
    • Banana Bread
    • Pumpkin Waffles
    • …and did a Fondue cooking class!

*Still need to lower my carbs and sweets/desserts at night. I have a sweet tooth! But my next goal: Don’t eat after 9pm really helped with the sweets/dessert simply because I could never make it in time to eat them lol

    7.) Don’t eat after 9pm.

I kept up with this for a while just towards the last week I was slacking a bit, especially with Halloween I was out later and had eaten way earlier so yeah I got hungry.

8.) Exercise… clearly… But specifically: Strength train 3x per week, run more, and switch things up by trying a new class or activity.

     Done

9.) Read and write more often.

Half done… I write in my personal journal just need to start reading more! Need to find a good book. Any suggestions?!?

10.) Only get to splurge a little on my birthday, food and wine festival, and maybe Halloween… Maybe… I’m not even really into candy that much so that should be easy, but I do like cake and wine ;)

For the most part I think this is a DONE! The only times I really splurged were for the food and wine and my bday and I think those were the only 2 major ones.

11.) Plan a trip to Boston.

     Done

    12.) Rock my Halloween costume.

    Done

13.) Find myself a sexy man… Although I do love this goal. I really don’t want any reason to stay in Florida lol. SPOILER ALERT!!! *** New Year’s Goal: Move to a big city :D My alternative goal to this is meet at least 5 new people this month! And we’re off…

I.still.need.a.sexy.man! Will be accepting applications lol. I definitely have met 5 new people this month though. I love meeting new people and I have met a lot of guys this month but nothing serious or juicy to say about them. Like I said I want no reason to stay here plus the single life is fun ;D

    I heard this quote today:
The definition of Insanity:
“Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
This was in my Body Works class from my intructor. I’m focusing on toning my body now and she told me if I need to focus more on a certain muscle group…(as long as I’m not extremely sore from the previous day) I can do it again until it burns like the seventh circle of hell! AND/OR kick up my weights… But NEVER let myself or my body get too comfortable with doing the same thing or routine over and over again! I think that’s why I’m stuck right now, lately I’ve only been focusing on my running and strength training classes. I need to kick it up.
AND
Bonus. This doesn’t just apply to fitness. It applies to EVERYONE and EVERYTHING! In my case I really need to change up my life routine. I need a job like yesterday… but no one is hiring, even the part time seasonal jobs are being taken up by older people when I need to start saving up to get out of here and hopefully go to grad school or something more age appropriate for me lol That’s when it hit me I need to change up my life some more. Today I started looking into graduate programs, schools, GMAT, GRE’s (Those last two are frightening I am not a good tester…) I’d like to start studying for those tests and seriously work on my Italian this time… So there you have it, my two newest life goals, at least what I can think of right now… More to come of course ;)
